Fairytale Friesians
Leagh Godin has been in love with horses long before she can remember, or at least that's what her father tells her. Like most young ladies who are horse enthusiasts from birth she followed her passion into the show ring. And by the age of thirteen she had achieved the "High Point Award" of the Canadian Equestrian Federation, in the equitation division. As a youth rider she competed in many different divisions, but she finally found Saddleseat Equitation to be her niche.

Arabians had been Leagh's first love - until she saw the movie "LadyHawk" that introduced us all to the breathtaking Friesian horse. After some three years of searching the Internet and visiting farms, she found Gerrit. "Gerrit v/h Galgendaal" was 10 years old at the time and had just been imported to the U.S. - he is everything that we all imagine these horses to be. Noble, charismatic, loyal, and the ultimate "gentleman", Gerrit exudes and exemplifies all that is best in the Friesian horse - and Leagh sets him as the standard for all other Friesian horses in her stable.

Leagh has been competing at the Regional and National levels in the Arabian division, winning many titles since the age of 13.

In 2005 her focus turned to the Friesian division and since that time she has enjoyed great success! She showed her gelding Gerrit v/h Galgendaal at the Monroe keuring to "Grand Champion gelding" (she wasn't sure who the crowd was cheering more for, Gerrit or for her to keep up with him!)
