Ancient Lineage


Friesians date back over 1,000 years, with origins in Friesland, a province of the Netherlands. They were prized by knights during the Middle Ages for their strength, agility, and noble appearance.  They are brave and loyal partners.

Battle-Tested Beauties


These horses once carried fully armored knights into battle. Their power and intelligence made them the ideal warhorse—capable of charging into chaos yet gentle with their rider.  Hence making them so stable, level headed, and safe in chaotic and stimulating environments.

Gentle Giants


Despite their commanding size and presence, Friesians are incredibly gentle, willing, and affectionate. They bond easily with people and are often called “puppy dogs in horse bodies.”

Almost Lost Forever


The Friesian breed nearly went extinct in the early 1900s due to mechanization and crossbreeding. Only 9 horses remained, but thanks to dedicated breeders, the breed was revived and preserved.

Black Icons


Friesians are nearly always black with luxuriously thick manes, tails, and feathered legs. Their long silky hair adds to the fairytale effect these magistiacal creatures exude a fantasy-like aesthetic. Grooming them is an art form!

Heartfelt Companions


Beyond their beauty, Friesians are known for their deep emotional sensitivity. They mirror energy and emotion, often bonding closely with their handler or rider. Despite their commanding size and presence, Friesians are incredibly gentle, willing, and affectionate.
